What Is UHMW-PE?

UHMW-PE, or Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene, is a polyethylene material engineered for wear applications. Compared with standard polyethylene, it has much longer molecular chains, giving it greater toughness and significantly better resistance to abrasion.

The material is naturally slippery, so parts move smoothly without creating excessive friction. It also absorbs very little moisture and resists many chemicals, making it suitable for equipment that operates in wet, dusty, or corrosive environments.
